It was a real pleasure to welcome Deborah Gammell back to PL recently. As a former student, it was wonderful to see her return not just to visit, but to invest her time and experience in supporting our current S5 students.

Deborah delivered engaging workshops on CV writing and interview techniques, sharing practical advice and personal insights that helped students feel more confident about their next steps. In partnership with Developing the Young Workforce, she also led a dynamic session on networking, encouraging young people to recognise the importance of building connections and believing in their own potential.

Her commitment didn’t stop there. Deborah kindly donated a book celebrating women in STEM and is continuing to support the school by helping to develop workshops focused on building confidence and self-belief in young girls.

Deborah, thank you for giving so much back to PL. Your generosity and commitment to empowering the next generation are truly appreciated, and we look forward to welcoming you back to PL again soon. We hope your example inspires other former students to reconnect and give back to the PL community.
