As part of Volunteers’ Week 2025, we want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to the incredible people who give their time to support our school community.

First up, a big shout out to one of our PLLF Trustees, Douglas, who’s been offering one-to-one Maths tuition to students in the lead-up to their exams. His dedication and support have truly made a difference, helping students feel more confident and ready.

We’d also like to give a special thanks to Danny, who continues to work alongside our chess master to deliver chess tuition. Danny’s not just about moves on the board, though - he’s also known for his unwavering love of a Tunnock’s biscuit and a cuppa to fuel the sessions. He looks forward to it every time, and we think the biscuit must be part of his chess strategy!

And of course, a massive thank you to all the staff and students who volunteer their time each morning for our Breakfast Café. It’s completely volunteer-led, and these amazing people serve up breakfast with a smile, helping create a warm and welcoming start to the day for everyone at PL.

We’re so lucky to have such committed, caring volunteers at PL.

Thank you!
